Gloucestershire College meets Net-Zero target 28 years early
We are excited to be celebrating the completion of an innovative new heat pump solution as Gloucestershire College meets Net-Zero target nearly 30 years ahead of Government target.
We were proud to join Gloucestershire College and Hillside Environmental on the 22nd of July to celebrate their success in becoming a Net-Zero campus.
It sees the college leading the way in decarbonising student campuses, as it completes its transformation a full 28 years ahead of Government targets. The Glasgow Climate Pact sets the target for education facilities to decarbonise by 2050.
Infinitas helped to design the plant room and modifications needed to update the college’s heat network. It means the site is now powered by heat pumps using solar panels. A battery storage facility has also been created in the plant room, operated by smart energy controls to optimise efficiency.
“It was an honour to be involved in such a momentous project. Celebrating Gloucestershire College’s achievements with other partners and leading industry figures helps show the huge step forward colleges and education facilities are making in meeting Net-Zero targets.”
Laura Bishop, Managing Director at Infinitas
